Last week
it was blue, now it's pink! Though normally thought of for little girls, it's making its comeback in a BIG way. Here are a few different versions of the bold look:
|
From left: Emmy Rossum in a modern Bottega Veneta nude dress accessorized with a Swarovski clutch, Coomi rose quartz earrings and strappy Jimmy Choo sandals; Kim Kardashian in a blush Zac Posen design with bow-topped heels; Heidi Klum in a billowing blush The Row design contrasted by sexy Christian Louboutin heels. |
|
From left: Gwyneth Paltrow in a ribbed Azzedine Alaia dress and hot pink Pierre Hardy heels; Ginnifer Goodwin in a coral Valentino keyhole dress, nude Brian Atwood pumps and a structured black clutch; Kim Kardashian in a fuchsia three-quarter sleeved Rachel Roy dress and pointy-toe heels. |
I'm loving all the different shades of pink dresses, from the palest pink to the boldest fuchsia, it's great in any hue!
But, it also looks great as a skirt, top or jacket:
|
From left: Emily Blunt in a draped Roksanda Ilincic color-block dress, nude Jimmy Choo heels and Carla Amorim jewelry; Minka Kelly in a pink and black ensemble accessorized with a Kara Ackerman Designs ring and patent leather pumps; Clemence Poesy in a blush-pink Louis Vuitton top with a denim circle skirt and LV accessories. |
|
From left: Whitney Port in a Ports 1961 ultra-skinny jeans and belted blouse with a pale pink blazer; Fergie in Helmut Lang leather leggings topped with a D&G lace blouse and hot pink tuxedo blazer; Julianne Moore in a Lanvin magenta blouse and fiery red skirt with black ankle-strap heels. |
This way, you can wear just a taste of it without having to fully commit. Fergie's jacket is is fun, but I doubt you're a rock star (especially if you are reading this) so be sure to tone it down.
Unfortunately, though, it's just as easy to mess up these beautiful shades as it is to look wonderful in it, so be careful! You don't want to look too young, night club-ish or Barbie-like, so keep the tone light, the fabric luxe, the shape classic and the accessories to a minimum - and in the nude color family - to look your best!
