Trendspotting: Multi-pattern Ensembles

There has been an abundance of pattern on the red carpet recently, but sometimes it's all being worn on the same person - at the same time! 

From left: Zoe Saldana in an embroidered Dolce & Gabbana dress with suede Brian Atwood pumps; Emma Stone in a kaleidoscopic Chanel dress, plum satin Ferragamo heels and an emerald cocktail ring; Kerry Washington in a painted floral dress with a leopard print clutch and red suede Sergio Rossi pumps.

I don't think anyone will be surprised to hear that I'm not loving this look.  Too much for regular life, let alone the workplace.  Bright shoes and accessories, maybe, but not all together... Pick one pattern, and stick with it.  Less is more!
