Casual Friday Chic: Olivia Palermo

Casual Friday, as much as I used to look forward to it, has started to wear me down dear readers!  Blasphemy, I know, but lately I have found that my Friday wardrobe has gotten pretty stagnant: jeans (either skinny or wide leg), paired with a sweater or a silk blouse, and heels.   Blah!  There are only so many times you can wear different variations of the same outfit!

So, in my search for a Friday outfit jolt, I came across this:

Olivia Palermo in a scoop-neck sweater that she teamed with a leather-sleeved topper, statement necklace, skinny jeans and cap-toe pumps.

I love that this outfit is basically the classic ensemble of jeans-and-a-blazer, but Olivia makes it fun with unexpected  twists.  For instance, the blazer has amazing leather sleeves, the top is paired with a bold statement necklace, and the heels have a multicolor cap toe.  Though, she makes sure to balance the fun elements with light-wash skinny denim.  This look is just traditional enough to be office appropriate, but just fun enough to inspire.  Love.
